I was skeptical July 16, 2024 Reviewer: Kenneth McBrayer from Versailles, KY United States   After reading a few negative reviews about the Minimax Tug, I was skeptical of its value and performance. I have previously owned another brand of electric towbar powered with a 20 Volt drill. I purchased the Minimax brand specifically because there are no chains or other moving parts that can damage the nose gear fairing. I have discovered that the Minimax is a robust tug and has performed better than I expected. I purchased the additional stainless steel T-bolt clamp which I have not needed. The extension handle is a must have accessory. The tarmac leading into my Hangar has a slight uphill grade and the Minimax tug pushes my SR22 effortlessly even with full fuel on board. The trigger on the Dewalt drill has perfect sensitivity for slowly maneuvering the tug into position. Purchasing some traction tape for a slippery hangar floor is a must. I do not feel that adding additional weights to the Minimax tug wheels will add value for traction. Was this review helpful to you?

Cirrus Minimax December 6, 2022 Reviewer: William Kinney from Columbia, MO United States   This is my second Minimax for a second hangar. They have improved the design but there are still issues with twisting of the shaft as the ring clamps just can’t handle the torque of the larger drill with bigger battery when turned to the horizontal position. Considering the price of the other tugs for a Cirrus, this is just a minor issue. Was this review helpful to you?

Best option for moving an SR22T September 5, 2020 Reviewer: John Barlow from Santa Rosa Beach, MN United States   I looked at many options and still own a gas-powered tug.  The battery operated minmax itug with the Milwaukee drill exceeded my expectations and was affordable.  You can also break it down and take it with you.  I had som e questions and they answered right away.  Also, they have a Youtube video for product. MiniMax Cirrus Tug August 25, 2020 Reviewer: Robert Richard from Naples, FL United States   Bought 2 of them actually, best bang for the buck. Great functionality overall, only negative is it is a little slow walking it back to the hangar. They do have a landing gear option to alleviate this for longer distance. Also great customer support. The instructions were easy to follow, and assembly was accomplished in approximately 90 minutes. The unit was sturdy and functioned as described. The steering does require some practice however, as it is necessary to lift the wheels off the ground to re direct the tug. Overall, I am very pleased with the unit, and it easily pushes the aircraft up a shallow incline into the hanger. Was this review helpful to you?
